A global view on quality
Get a unique view on how countries all over the world are performing! These recent results will not only gives you a worldwide insight, it is also a good indicator of what and how you can improve the state of quality in your own country and increase the performance of your organisations.
The World State of Quality (WSQ) aims to assess, analyse and rank the different countries performance in terms of Quality. The WSQ collects several indicators that are grouped according to some of the most relevant dimensions related to the Quality field. This could be an important input for several institutions, such as national governments or international organizations due to the easy identification of strengths and improvement areas of each country according to a final score that depends on the ranking position of each country for each indicator, which represents a pioneering way of measuring quality.
Who is Paolo Sampaio?
Paulo Sampaio is professor of Quality and Organizational Excellence at the university of Minho. He graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Minho in 2002 (5-year degree) and completed his PhD in Industrial Engineering in 2008 at the University of Minho. In the past 17 years, Paulo had several technical and management positions at the University of Minho and other profit and non-profit organisations.
He participates as a Keynote Speaker in Quality and Organizational Excellence international conferences and he is author of several publications in the Quality field (books, papers in international and national journals). He coordinates several research projects on Quality and also supervises several researchers (Postdoctoral, PhD Students, Master Students and Visiting Researchers).
At the American Society for Quality, he is currently member of the Board of Directors, member of the Feigenbaum Medal Committee and member of the Influential Voices Group. Paulo is also a Founding Partner of Quality for Excellence (since 2013).
He has co-authored or authored more than 200 publications, 160 of them ISI/Scopus indexed papers (1810 citations at Google Scholar).
